What information do you need to provide an air freight quote?
To prepare an accurate air freight quote, we need:
- Pickup and delivery locations
- Cargo dimensions and weight
- Type of goods (commodity)
- Required delivery time
- Whether the shipment requires special handling, such as fragile, dangerous, or temperature-controlled goods.
How do you calculate air freight costs?
Costs depend on chargeable weight (volume vs actual weight), route, urgency, and additional services like customs or delivery.
Do you handle airport-to-airport shipments or only door-to-door?
We offer both options depending on your needs and budget.
What documents are required for air freight shipping?
Typically commercial invoice, packing list, airway bill, and any required certificates depending on the goods.
What is considered special cargo?
A shipment is considered special cargo if it requires specific handling, packaging, or transport conditions.
This includes goods that are:
- Non-stackable
- Fragile
- Containing liquids
- Temperature-controlled (cooling required)
- Containing batteries (including lithium, button cells, etc.)
- Classified as dangerous goods under IATA DGR (e.g. flammable, corrosive, explosive, toxic, biohazard)
- Food products
- Pharmaceutical or medical goods

Can cargo insurance be arranged?
Yes, cargo insurance can be arranged, and it is strongly recommended for high-value shipments. In air freight, carrier liability is limited (typically around 17 SDR/kg), so insurance ensures full coverage of your goods in case of loss or damage.
Are there any countries you do not ship to?
We do not arrange shipments to or from Russia in compliance with current EU sanctions.
